Luegoh:”I was really fascinated by the natural environment  and the incredible volcano landscapes.”

Northern Germany based artist Luegoh started to produce his first Techno tracks in Ableton Live, at the age of 15 years. Coming from Punk-Rock and Metal-Core he started to develop his really own, heavy drum orientated style of Melodic & Progressive Techno. We talked with him about his upcoming releases and plans for 2019. You should definetly keep an eye on his upcoming work.

Where did the idea for Calanthe come from?

Right at the beginning of of the new year I visited Gran Canaria to take some time off. The contrast from the cold weather here in Germany to the pleasing 20 degrees were really treating me well so that I could get right back into Production mode when I got back home.

Where did you get the inspiration?

I was really fascinated by the natural environment  and the incredible volcano landscapes with its huge canyons and tales of orange dust on the Island so that  my good mood that I had overall lead directly into “Calanthe” with its Groovy and overall more open scheme then my previous productions.

Why do you offer your song as a free download?

With “Calanthe” I want to introduce and underline my musical direction to which the new year will hopefully bring me so I am donating that track to all the lovely people that supported me in 2018. Also some good friends started this new Platform “Live from Moon” and I wanted to be part of it directly from the beginning to reach some new faces around the whole scene.

What are your plans for the rest of the year? Any new releases or gigs you are looking forward too?

First off all my debut EP will hopefully hit the stores towards this summer on including a wonderful Remix by one of my favorite Artists from last year called Naeiiv. Besides that, Innacircle and I are working on some tracks together with the amazing Tale Graf and also I have some tracks and Remix coming on their Label “Geistzeit”. On the other hand I´am psyched to finish my Live – Set which is planned to be presented later this year.

How is 2019 looking?

I´am super motivated and f*cking excited for 2019. There will be some really exciting gigs and musical jouneys for me to master. Also I´am super happy to continue working with some incredible people like Steve Pegram from Somatic Records, the boys from Innacricle which became really good friends of mine and of course the whole Geistzeit Crew and also my own, Bremen based collective “Vierteltakt”.
